We speak with one voice
The public insurers are not only present at municipal and state levels. Together, they constitute the second-strongest force in the German primary insurance market and thus also have a major presence nationwide. As the Association of Public Insurers, we represent this strength in both public and political domains. Based in Berlin, we represent the interests and positions of public insurers at federal level. With our office in Brussels, we are also close to the political decision-makers at European level.
We represent the public insurers’ political interests at national and European level.
The public insurers are committed to the European idea and to the maintenance and development of the European internal market. At the same time, within a „European Union of Regions“, it is essential to sustainably strengthen the basis of regionally active insurance companies. Therefore it takes a differentiated and proportionate structuring of regulatory requirements, a fair co-existence of different remuneration models and a strenghtening of the three-pillar model in the provision for old age.
Get a feel for the positions of the public insurers on current legislative and political issues.
